Afghanistan Promises to Side with Pakistan in War Against US

I could not make this up. After over ten years, a huge part of our national treasure that should have been spent on our infrastructure, and many lives lost or ruined our handpicked Afghanistan leader promises to side with Pakistan in a war against the United States. Even after his Afghanistan "drawdown" allegedly to be completed by December of 2012, Obama will have twice as many troops in Afghanistan as were there on the day he was inaugurated. Why? What have we gained by transferring our wealth to thugs and terrorists in Pakistan and Afghanistan under either Bush or Obama?
